A sightseeing helicopter flight from Mauritius airport

Andeor offers, through its flight partner, a shared sightseeing circuit of approximately 35 minutes from Mauritius airport that returns to the airport. It visits the underwater waterfall area off Le Morne; it is not an airport-to-hotel transfer or scheduled airline travel. Choose it for a round-trip aerial experience, with enough flexibility in your itinerary that an essential onward flight does not depend on the circuit running to plan.

What the airport circuit offers

The shared airport flight is priced per person. Its approximately 35-minute duration is flight time, not the total time to allow for reporting, preparation and onward travel. Consult the current Andeor listing for prices, available departures and party limits.

Off Le Morne, the underwater waterfall is an optical illusion rather than water falling beneath the sea. Flights depend on weather and operational conditions, and visibility of the effect is not guaranteed.

When the airport departure makes sense

The airport circuit suits travellers whose plans make an airport start and finish practical and who prefer a longer shared sightseeing flight. Andeor’s other published waterfall circuits depart from Bel Ombre and last approximately 15 minutes, with shared and private options.

The shared Bel Ombre option is priced per person; the private option is priced per helicopter. Choose between these departures by location, flight duration and whether you want a private booking.

Keep hotel transport separate

The airport sightseeing offer excludes hotel and land transfers. We can arrange separate ground transport from your accommodation to the departure point or to a hotel afterwards. This arrangement is separate from the experience’s price and flight duration.

If you want to fly from the airport to a hotel instead, request a tailored helicopter transfer quote. Andeor needs the actual origin and destination, date, party and baggage details. Landing arrangements require approval, and helicopter access is not available at every hotel.

Booking and reporting for the flight

Andeor’s current selling policy requires booking at least 36 hours before the scheduled departure. This is Andeor’s policy, not a universal operator rule. Choose from the departures available in the current listing.

We coordinate passenger details, arrangements with the flight partner, tickets and day-before confirmation. Booking or payment alone does not establish that the operator’s e-ticket is ready. Follow your final meeting instructions for the ground reporting point and time; do not use the advertised flight duration to decide when to arrive.

Prepare passenger and baggage details

Passenger and baggage weights are checked, so send accurate details through Andeor’s approved private channels. If combining sightseeing with airline travel, include your actual luggage details in the arrangements so baggage acceptance can be confirmed. Seats are allocated for operational reasons, and front or window seats cannot be promised.

Tell us about children, infants, assistance needs, medical considerations or equipment when booking. The flight partner must confirm suitability and arrangements for your specific party.

Allow flexibility around an airline flight

After an airline arrival, allow for arrival formalities and collecting any checked baggage before the helicopter reporting time. Before an onward airline departure, plan around the airline’s check-in and boarding requirements, not just 35 minutes in the air. Share your airline itinerary with Andeor so the separate arrangements can be coordinated.

Weather or operational changes can affect the helicopter flight. Returning to the airport does not create a guaranteed airline connection. If your schedule has little flexibility, choose another day for sightseeing rather than making an essential departure depend on it.

Your questions, answered

Does the airport helicopter tour finish at my hotel?

No. The shared sightseeing circuit returns to Mauritius airport. Hotel and land transfers are excluded, but Andeor can arrange separate ground transport.

Can I book the airport circuit as a private flight?

The published airport circuit is shared and priced per person. Andeor’s published private waterfall circuit departs from Bel Ombre, lasts approximately 15 minutes and is priced per helicopter.

Can I fit the sightseeing flight between two airline flights?

Only consider it if your itinerary leaves sufficient flexibility for reporting, airport formalities and possible disruption. Share both airline flight details with Andeor before booking so the arrangements can be reviewed. No onward connection is guaranteed.
