The underwater waterfall is an optical illusion off Le Morne, not a waterfall beneath the sea. All three published circuits compared here are waterfall sightseeing offers. A helicopter transfer serves a different purpose and should not be treated as an interchangeable way to see it.

Compare Bel Ombre with the airport

Bel Ombre offers two approximately 15-minute waterfall circuits, one private and one shared. These suit travellers who want the shorter published flight, provided reaching Bel Ombre works with the rest of their day.

The airport option is an approximately 35-minute shared waterfall circuit that returns to the airport. Its duration describes the whole circuit, not 35 minutes over the illusion. Choose it for a convenient departure location or a longer flight, not as an airport-to-hotel transfer.

Decide whether to book privately or share

The private Bel Ombre flight is priced per helicopter. Both shared options are priced per person. Private suits a party that wants to reserve the aircraft for itself; shared suits travellers who prefer to buy individual places.

Compare the current total for your party and check the published passenger limits before deciding. A per-helicopter price and a per-person price are not directly comparable. Private booking also does not guarantee a front or window seat: seat allocation remains an operational decision.

Allow for variable visibility

The routes are designed around seeing the optical illusion, but visibility is not guaranteed. Flights also depend on weather and operational factors. Neither a longer circuit nor a private booking guarantees a clearer view.

Treat flight duration as one part of the choice, not a measure of how well the waterfall will appear. If seeing the illusion is your main reason to book, weigh that uncertainty alongside the departure point, flight format and price.

Plan the journey to your departure point

The current shared airport circuit excludes hotel and land transfers. Its flying time is not the time needed for the whole outing: you must also reach the meeting point and follow your final meeting instructions.

We can arrange separate ground transfers for either departure point. Share your pickup location, travel date, party size and baggage details so Andeor can coordinate transport. Ground transport is not automatically included in the flight price or its stated duration.

Book ahead and prepare your passenger details

Andeor’s current booking policy requires at least 36 hours before scheduled departure. Use the live listing for prices, party limits and available departures. We coordinate partner arrangements, passenger details, tickets and day-before confirmation; payment alone does not establish that the operator’s e-ticket is ready.

Passenger and baggage weights are checked, so submit accurate details through approved private channels. For infants, medical or accessibility needs, or equipment requirements, Andeor will coordinate case-specific confirmation with the flight partner before booking. Review the booked offer’s current cancellation terms, distinguishing operator cancellation from guest cancellation, and follow the final meeting instructions.
