Coordinating Helicopter Transfers with Airline Flights
A helicopter transfer in Mauritius can form part of an airline itinerary, but it is not a guaranteed connection. An incoming flight’s estimated landing time is not your helicopter boarding time, and an outbound connection needs more than the helicopter’s flight duration. We coordinate arrangements with our flight partner, while helping you plan around airport formalities, baggage and possible disruption.

In this guide
Separate airline landing from helicopter readiness
For an incoming airline flight, allow for immigration, baggage collection and customs before reaching the confirmed helicopter meeting point. Your estimated landing time starts this sequence; it does not establish when you will be ready to board. Passenger and baggage weight checks also need to be accounted for.
Give Andeor your airline flight number, arrival date and current schedule, and pass on any changes. These details help Andeor coordinate with the flight partner. Follow the final meeting instructions rather than treating the airline arrival time or an earlier proposed helicopter departure as sufficient confirmation.
Work backwards from your outbound airline deadlines
For a helicopter transfer to the airport, start with your airline’s check-in and baggage-drop deadlines, not just its departure time. Account for movement from the helicopter arrival point to airline check-in, followed by security and boarding requirements. Time in the air is only one part of the journey.
There is no assured buffer that makes every itinerary safe, and Andeor cannot guarantee the onward airline connection. If your plan only works when the helicopter lands at one precise time, it is too dependent on an unchanged schedule. Consider a separate airport transfer and a helicopter experience on another day instead.
Book a transfer rather than an airport sightseeing circuit
Andeor offers an approximately 35-minute shared airport sightseeing circuit through its flight partner. It returns to the airport and excludes hotel and land transfers. It is not a one-way journey to your hotel, even though its departure point may look convenient for an arriving passenger.
A genuine transfer needs a tailored quote based on your actual origin and destination, date, party and baggage, with operator-approved landing arrangements. Hotel access is not universal. Establish the route and landing feasibility before building an airline connection around a proposed helicopter journey.
Complete passenger details and ticket confirmation
Send accurate passenger and baggage weights through Andeor’s approved private channels. Baggage acceptance must be resolved for the proposed transfer; an airline baggage allowance does not establish what can travel on the helicopter. If the proposed load cannot be accepted, Andeor can help coordinate an alternative transfer plan.
Andeor staff coordinate passenger details, operator arrangements, tickets and day-before confirmation. Booking or payment alone does not establish that the operator’s e-ticket is ready. Use the final meeting instructions for your departure, and flag any schedule or baggage changes so Andeor can coordinate the necessary adjustments with the flight partner.
Plan for disruption before committing
Helicopter flights depend on weather and operational factors. When an airline journey is involved, decide in advance what you would do if the helicopter could not operate as planned. A fallback should be considered before travel, rather than assumed to be immediately available after a delay.
We can arrange separate ground transfers for hotel and activity journeys. Transport arrangements are distinct from the helicopter booking: neither their cost nor their travel time should be treated as included in the helicopter price or flight duration. Any replacement arrangement needs confirmation.
Also review the booked offer’s current cancellation terms. Operator cancellation and guest cancellation are different situations; an airline schedule change should not be treated as an automatic entitlement to a helicopter refund.
Your questions, answered
How far ahead should I book the helicopter?
Andeor’s current selling policy requires at least 36 hours before scheduled departure. This is a booking lead time, not a connection buffer or an assurance of availability. A transfer also requires prior arrangements and confirmation of the proposed route.
What happens if my arriving airline flight is delayed?
Tell us as soon as your arrival estimate changes. We can coordinate with the flight partner and help review alternatives, but a later helicopter departure or replacement flight is not guaranteed.
Is airport fast-track included with a helicopter transfer?
Do not treat a helicopter transfer as airport fast-track. Plan for immigration, customs and the applicable airline procedures, and use the confirmed inclusions of your tailored quote when organising the journey.
