Helicopter or road transfer in Mauritius?

A road transfer is often the practical choice in Mauritius, especially when luggage, a fixed arrival deadline or keeping the group together matters most. Consider a helicopter transfer when the flight itself adds value and approved landing access works for your route. Compare the complete journey and quote, not just the airborne leg.

Compare the whole journey, not just the flight

A helicopter flight is only one part of a transfer. Include getting to the departure point, the agreed meeting and passenger checks, the flight, and any road journey after landing. If luggage travels separately, its delivery also belongs in the plan.

For road travel, compare the actual collection and drop-off points against your day's commitments. Air travel may add ground connections rather than remove them, so it should not be chosen on an assumed time saving. We can help you compare arrangements for your specific journey.

Check access at both ends

Staying at a hotel does not establish helicopter access. Transfers need prior arrangements and operator-approved landing points, whether you are travelling from the airport, between hotels or to a venue. Direct access to every hotel cannot be promised.

Give Andeor your actual origin and destination, travel date and party details before choosing air transport. Any road connection needed at either end belongs in both the itinerary and the budget.

Match transport to your passengers and luggage

For a family or group, consider whether everyone and their belongings can make the intended journey together. Helicopter passenger and baggage weights are checked; send accurate details through approved private channels. Party size alone does not establish aircraft suitability or baggage acceptance.

Infant arrangements, medical or accessibility needs, and equipment acceptance require case-specific operator confirmation, which Andeor will coordinate. For a helicopter golf outing, golf bags require ground carriage. Road transport is a sensible preference when keeping luggage with the group matters, with vehicle capacity and assistance needs agreed when arranging it.

Separate the view from the transport

A helicopter transfer can make the aerial journey part of the day, but it is not interchangeable with a sightseeing circuit. A transfer route should not be assumed to include the underwater waterfall off Le Morne. That feature is an optical illusion, and visibility is not guaranteed.

If the view is your main reason to fly, road transport plus a separately booked sightseeing circuit may serve you better. Published circuits depart from Bel Ombre or the airport; Bel Ombre has private and shared options.

Allow for weather and onward commitments

Flights depend on weather and operational factors. With an onward airline departure or another firm commitment, consider whether your plan can accommodate a disrupted flight and an alternative ground journey.

We can arrange separate ground transport, but any fallback needs coordination rather than being treated as automatic or included. Review the current terms attached to the booked offer: operator cancellation and guest cancellation are different situations, so neither should be treated as a general promise of a refund.

Compare a complete quote with your budget

Request a tailored helicopter-transfer quote rather than using a sightseeing price as a guide. The comparison needs to cover the proposed route, party, baggage, landing arrangements and any ground connections. Check how landing fees and other inclusions are treated in that quote.

For a transport-only need, compare that complete cost with an appropriately sized road vehicle. Andeor arranges bookings and support through its flight partner, rather than operating the aircraft. Once arrangements are confirmed, follow the final meeting instructions.

Your questions, answered

Is the shared airport sightseeing flight a hotel transfer?

No. The published shared airport waterfall flight is a sightseeing circuit that returns to the airport. It excludes hotel and land transfers, so it cannot replace an airport-to-hotel transfer.

Can Andeor arrange a road transfer instead?

Yes. We can arrange separate hotel and activity transfers, including ground connections for a helicopter journey. Transport is not automatically included in a flight's price or duration; the arrangements and cost are agreed separately.

How far ahead should I arrange a helicopter transfer?

For these partner flights, Andeor requires booking at least 36 hours before scheduled departure. A tailored transfer still needs approved arrangements; that minimum is not a promise of availability. We coordinate passenger details, tickets and day-before confirmation. Payment alone does not mean the operator's e-ticket is ready.
