Arranging assistance for a helicopter flight in Mauritius

If you need boarding assistance, use mobility equipment or depend on a companion’s support, discuss those needs with Andeor before booking. We coordinate the arrangements, while the flight operator must confirm individual access, equipment acceptance and any medical suitability questions. A private flight does not automatically resolve accessibility needs.

Start with a private assistance discussion

Your first enquiry can stay simple: give your intended date, preferred departure point, party size and a request to discuss assistance privately. Keep diagnoses, medical history and documents out of public enquiry messages.

During private follow-up, explain the practical help you need, such as support reaching the aircraft or transferring into a seat. If medical information or supporting documents are needed for an assessment, Andeor will coordinate secure follow-up with the operator rather than asking you to post sensitive details publicly.

Have mobility equipment assessed alongside your booking

Prepare a clear description of any wheelchair, walking aid or other mobility equipment. Useful details include its weight, dimensions, whether it folds and whether it is battery-powered. These are details for the individual assessment, not a published acceptance checklist.

We can coordinate confirmation of equipment acceptance alongside the passenger arrangements. Passenger and baggage weights are checked, so provide accurate information through approved private channels. Equipment acceptance needs its own confirmation; a passenger reservation alone does not establish it.

Agree how boarding and companion support will work

Discuss the whole route from the vehicle drop-off point to the aircraft seat. The plan should establish how you will reach the aircraft, what boarding assistance is needed and who will provide it. If transferring into a seat is difficult, explain that during the private assessment.

Describe what help a companion needs to provide, including whether sitting together is essential. Andeor can put that requirement into the assessment. Seat allocation remains operational, and front or window seats cannot be promised.

Choose the flight format after checking your needs

Andeor’s published waterfall sightseeing choices include private and shared circuits of approximately 15 minutes from Bel Ombre, plus an approximately 35-minute shared circuit from the airport that returns to the airport. Private flights are priced per helicopter; shared flights are priced per person. Current listings show prices and party limits.

The shorter circuit may suit someone who prefers less time airborne, but duration does not establish medical suitability or easier boarding. A private booking changes the booking format, not the requirement for individual access confirmation. Choose only after the proposed arrangements address your needs.

Coordinate ground transport with the boarding plan

We can arrange separate ground transfers. Include your collection point, party size, baggage and any vehicle-access or equipment needs so these can be considered alongside the flight arrangements.

Arranging transport does not mean it is included in the flight price or duration. The current shared airport sightseeing offer excludes hotel and land transfers, and its return circuit is not an airport-to-hotel transfer. Use the final meeting instructions to coordinate your arrival at the correct departure point.

Allow time for individual confirmation

For the helicopter offers described here, Andeor’s current selling policy requires booking at least 36 hours before scheduled departure. Start earlier when an assistance assessment is needed: that cutoff is not a promise that an access review can be completed within 36 hours.

We coordinate operator arrangements, passenger details, tickets and day-before confirmation. Booking or payment alone does not establish operator e-ticket readiness. Before travelling, make sure your assistance arrangements are confirmed alongside the final meeting instructions. Flights remain subject to weather and operational factors.

Your questions, answered

Does a private helicopter booking guarantee accessible boarding?

No. Boarding assistance, equipment acceptance and individual suitability still require operator confirmation. We coordinate that assessment before you rely on a particular arrangement.

Can Andeor arrange transport from my hotel?

Yes. We can arrange a separate ground transfer and coordinate your stated access needs. Transport inclusion is offer-specific, so it should be agreed separately rather than assumed to be part of the flight.

Should I send medical documents with my first enquiry?

Keep medical details and documents out of public enquiry messages. Request a private assistance discussion first; Andeor will coordinate secure operator follow-up if sensitive information is needed.
